frequency in English are used when talking about your routine or the activities
you do or don't do regularly. You can also use them to talk about other people

divided into definite and indefinite.
Indefinite
adverbs of frequency
These
adverbs are characterized by not having a specific time, but a general time.
They are the ones we know in Spanish as siempre, a veces, nunca, etc. Although
they mention a frequency, they do not give much information about it, e.g: Mi
hijo come dulces a menudo = My son often eats candies.
Definite
adverbs of time
These
adverbs do present definite and concrete information about the activity we are
describing. It is equivalent to saying 'I study three times a week'. By giving
the information of three times we are defining the number of repetitions, e.g: Mi
novia cocina la cena tres veces por semana = My girlfriend cooks dinner three
times per week.
